This is a photographic collection created in response to a project brief aimed at i-D Magazine during my studies at Northumbria University in BA Fashion Communication.
The brief was to explore diversity and create a concept to research and develop, in order to direct, photograph and style an editorial shoot for the client, which was i-D Magazine. I wanted to focus on the female gaze, and the importance of women being a subject, not an object.
I developed the concept of 'God Created Woman in Her Own Image', which is a photographic exploration of the lack of intersectional gender diversity within the photography industry. As a female photographer I explored the subject of the female gaze through my own lens.
